God's GPS

By Bishop Keith A. Butler

Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.
John 16:13

If the Holy Spirit is speaking, we must be able to hear and to listen, or else He wouldn't be speaking. If you don't know which way to go, spend time with the Holy Ghost, and He will show you the way. If He's speaking, He's providing information. He will announce what He hears from the throne of God; He will speak what the Father says.

The Father, the judge of all, announces what's coming in the future. He says to the Holy Spirit, "Tell Keith, tell Mary, tell James-whatever your name-that this is headed their way." He will show you things to come; He will announce them to you. Some people have difficulty with this truth, because we're talking about spiritual things. You live in a body, but you are not a body; you are a spirit being.

In the spiritual realm, you should never be surprised by an attack. If you listen to the Holy Ghost, you'll know danger is out there trying to get you. The enemy has a plan, but you can take him down before he gets near you.

I thank God that when we miss it and trouble comes and things happen, He's there to get us out of trouble, because every one of us has missed it when the Spirit of God was speaking to us and we were busy doing everything else without checking in with God.

Prayer for Today

Father,
I thank you for the ministry of the Holy Ghost providing truth and direction in my life. Give me ears to hear. My heart desires to do your will and to follow you every step of every day. In Jesus' name, Amen.
