TIME MANAGEMENT: Prioritizing or Agonizing, It’s Your Choice
It’s not how hard you work, but how smart you work.
Set Priorities in Order
Make a list of things you need to do and prioritize according to V.I.P. (Vital,
Important, and Productive). Vital is that which is going to produce the greatest
return. This is what you want to do first. It is better to do 2 vital things
than 10 productive things.
5 Helpful Tips for Getting Started With Prioritizing
1. God. Begin each day with God. Spend time in His presence through prayer and study of His Word.
2. Self. Make your own personal well being a priority (i.e. your health, diet, exercise, rest, etc.). You must be in good shape so you can be a blessing to God, your spouse, and others.
3. Spouse. The home was instituted before the church. Never neglect your spouse; make fulfilling your spouse’s needs a priority.
4. Children. What good is it to win the world and lose your children. Children need to have quality time with their parents.
5. Ministry. The work that you do for the Lord.
Following these five tips for prioritizing should give your day order. Schedule these events into your planner daily.
