The Knowledge Factor

My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.
Hosea 4:6

Obstacles can stand in your way, and the biggest obstacle that stands in the way of believers receiving healing is what Hosea 4:6 says. My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. It's not necessarily lack of knowledge of the fact that Jesus has paid the price so that they can receive healing. It is lack of knowledge in what is the obstacle that is keeping their faith from connecting with the power and bringing forth the manifestation.

When the power of God comes over people, they may not have the physical manifestation immediately, but the anointing is such that it is felt. On the other hand I have seen cases where they received it at that moment, but didn't keep it. I had one case several years ago in which a woman got out of a wheelchair and her family came up to me after the service, crying and happy because their loved one got out the wheelchair and was now walking.

I asked the family if she was able to do that prior and they said that she couldn't. A couple of weeks later, she was back in the wheelchair. There's no question that the power of God manifested. She was healed. She did things she could not do, period. However, she somehow wound up back in the chair. Obviously there are some things we need to learn about relative to how the anointing and the healing power of God works in order to have the best results.

God's healing power operates like electricity. But electricity is here in the Earth. Electricity was here before God made man. Electricity did not show up with Ben Franklin and Thomas Edison. That's when somebody figured out how to harness it.

Even though electricity was here all along, no one received any benefit out of it, until somebody figured out how it worked, until somebody figured out all the rules governing it, and then somebody tapped into what was available. You must realize that there was a need for electricity long before Ben Franklin and Thomas Edison. Moses had a need for electricity. Adam had a need for electricity. Healing operates the same way. God's healing power is available. It is in the Earth for every believer.

Prayer for Today

Father,
You've given me benefits as a result of being Your child. You forgive my sins and you heal my body. Healing is mine from the crown of my head to the soles of my feet. You sent the Holy Ghost to help me, to take hold with me against all infirmity. I thank You, Lord. In Jesus' name, Amen!
